SharePoint for Managing Business Operations

SharePoint serves as an all-in-one tool for meeting the organizational requirements of an enterprise. This includes the integration of enterprise applications with server applications.

SharePoint is a Microsoft product which is a rich server based application used to manage and operate different requirements and tools used for an organization. SharePoint can be integrated with other tools used in an organization, so even a person with no technical background/understanding can operate it. It can be easily incorporated with various sophisticated enterprise applications like CRM, ERP, CMS etc.

SharePoint is also used to plan, deploy and manage intranet, extranet, internet applications, enterprise applications, files and document management tools etc. to smoothen different organizational operations.   • Information Sharing: SharePoint can be used in document storage and retrieval, for providing customized view and other functionalities.   • Business Intelligence/Decision Making: Since SharePoint is capable of multiple format data representation and data retrieval from multiple resources, it allows the data analysis for decision makers. More efficient decisions can be drawn for business development as SharePoint provides the most abstract view of the data. This allows the analysis of business operations and strategies by covering most of the area of operation from a single tool.
  • Build Libraries: SharePoint is also used to form a collaborative system using documents by allocating the documents in a library, by a pane. Access to these documents can be defined and monitored in order to check who and when accesses the document inside a network of a software development company. Tasks can be monitored and their status can be tracked for calculating the productivity of workforce.
