Think about what you would do if all of the information on your hard drive was lost. Vanished. Crashed and burned and gone forever. You know when you consider the amount of viruses and power surges there are that can affect your hard drive, and then you add it to all of the natural disasters like fire, flood,. tornadoes and so on you can start to see just how vulnerable you may be if you don't have a good backup software program running on you PC.

So, you have probably heard the term backup software, but do you know really what it does? Well lets just say that for one reason or another your hard drive crashed. Maybe one of the natural disasters I just mentioned or the other sort of man-made disasters occurred. You switch your pc on and there's the "blue-screen-of-death". If you have backup software you would be able to pump life back into your PC without any problems and restore all your files and folders with a simple click of the mouse.

Now, what about all those programs that you had? And the settings that you have your PC on? What happens to those, are they lost forever as well? Not necessarily. , and it went to the extent of backing up all of your settings and programs you could click the mouse and have your pc return to how it was pre disaster.

Are you starting to see the difference between having no insurance for your hard drive in not running a backup software program, to seeing that you can be covered with a basic program? You will still be lost for restoring your old programs and your and settings, unless you install a  backup program that will basically return your pc to its old self.
