Playing too much on your console is not good. Lots of people have it. Many use it to escape from the day to day. It's a form of socialising for many. Many become another person entirely whilst playing. However it can ruin peoples lives.

Playing too much on your console is not good. Lots of people have it. Many use it to escape from the day to day. It's a form of socialising for many. Many become another person entirely whilst playing. However it can ruin peoples lives.

Can you see any of these in yourself

Getting too little sleep. We often play later on in the evening. Perhaps we just ignore our usual bed time routine. Sleep can start to take a back seat. The next morning it can be hard to get out of bed. Playing also uses your brain. Feeling low in energy can therefore be a common symptom.

Stuck on game thinking. Thoughts of gaming consumes your mind. It could be whilst trying to do homework. They may be driving. Possibly even when sat in the doctors. All they care about is how they can improve their game play.

Life matters less. They become more concerned about the game than the rest of their life. You avoid phone calls. They avoid getting out and about. Even washing becomes a real effort.

Playing too much. Lots of time is put into your gaming. Many people will play secretly when no one is around. A vast amount of time goes into game playing

Frustration. It could be they get really stressed when not on the computer. Gaming's meant to be great. When the time comes you're not getting the same kick have some time off.

Acuteness. You have to be on the pulse. You should be aware of your surroundings. Try not to play too obvious.

Inventiveness. Finding ways around problems is a must. Leave your competitors in a state of awe. Use a variety of games. The unusual can be good.

Passion. The best gamers enjoy the game they are playing. Broaden your knowledge. Make friends with gamers. Get on gaming forums. Let it own you.

Often games desire altered abilities to others. Halo may mostly need one ability. Harry Potter will possibly rely on others. Faster games require most of these skills. You may be better at some than others.

A quick walk through

Danny was committed to Starcraft. It was only a few hours to start. Things got worse when he was off work ill. Sessions started to get longer and longer. Skipping sleep was becoming normal. His only thought was for Starcraft 2 . It was rare for him to see people in the flesh. He began not going into work. If it meant being able to stay home on the console he'd do it. Within six months everything had changed. He rarely saw friends. He'd also been made redundant.

Gaming can be cool. It's also a huge industry. Although often gaming becomes compulsive. Keep an eye out for any signs any of the above. Be strict with yourself so you don't play too much. Then you will know you're keeping safe. Enjoy.
