The computer is a form of entertainment, and if you take it in the context of what it should be, you should be able to limit yourself.

Just like you would limit how many hours a day you would watch television or any other form of entertainment, you should do the same for the computer. Video games have often taken a beating from critics. Asking if they are a form of mindless entertainment or some games can even be considered an art form like a great movie or song. But they are more than that. They are an escape like a movie or a book.

Although you aren't generally reading a story or novel while you are on the computer, games may require reading while you play them and follow what to do as well as a storyline. Video games offer more action and options than you will get in a movie. Creativeness and critical thinking are required when you work your way through a video game, and you get to see how the storyline turns out as you reach the end.
