If you don’t have backup software installed on your server, encrypting and archiving all of your data, then you are putting your business at risk. It just couldn’t be an easier, so if you aren’t backing up your information, then there really is no excuse.

There are several quality server backup software packages available on the internet, and you just need to find one that is within your budget and that provides you with the security that you require. The first thing that you should be looking for is ease of use. If you or your IT person isn’t able to use it quickly, backups won’t be done, and then it will be of no use to you at all.

You should also make sure that you will get quality support and that the documentation is complete. Nothing is worse than buying a software package that doesn’t give you the complete set of instructions.

Finally, make sure that the product you buy will backup your information, whether you are there or not. This will help to ensure that there is always a fairly recent backup to rebuild your system from, one that can be counted on when you lose some or all of your data.
