There are some people who are so confident in their computing skills and their people that they don’t think backup software is an essential part of their business plan. But,Why Backup Software Is So Essential Articles you just never know when disaster will strike and in what form it will be. How do you know that your data is safe when there are simply so many different things that can happen to it.

For most companies right now, the biggest threat is a virus and that is why you absolutely have to have backup software installed and running. If just one person on your network opens the wrong email or goes to the wrong website, they can bring down your entire company in a matter of a few short moments. No matter how much you train people not to open attachments from strangers, they will continue to do so.

There is also the threat of someone within your company who wants to do a little damage. Maybe they aren’t happy with their job, or they plan on moving to a competitor’s company. Quite simply, there are a million reasons why someone might want to mess with the integrity of the data that you have, and there are plenty of malicious people out there who will do it.

Of course, you also can’t forget about natural disasters. Whether it is an earthquake, a tornado, a flood, or a hurricane, things do happen – especially when you least expect them. An electrical surge can blow up your hard drive, a leaky pipe in your building can take down every computer with it, or someone could just accidentally spill their coffee on the server.

The reasons for having backup software are many, and there are really no excuses for not having it. In today’s world, no business can afford to lose access to their data, even for a few hours.
