In today’s world, where we are all connected to the internet and each other virtually every minute of the day, it should seem obvious to most people that sooner or later a virus will make its way into your network. However, there are still those people who ignore good advice and choose to operate their network without some type of server backup. If you are one of them, then take this as a word of advice – sooner or later you will be caught “with your pants down”, and you will wish you had backed everything up.

Of course,Why You Need a Server Backup Articles it is not only virus attacks that can take down an entire network. Believe it or not, it is often someone on the inside, and that person may be you, who does something unintentional that puts everyone’s work in jeopardy. Perhaps you delete the wrong file, or you overwrite good information with bad data. This happens all the time and if you don’t have a server backup running, you will have no way to turn back the hands of time.

The good news is that installing and running a server backup program doesn’t need to be terribly time-consuming and you also don’t need a degree in computer engineering to do it. These programs are now easier than ever to install and run, and once you set them to run, they will continue to do so on their own whether you are there or not.

Once you have set the program to run, you will be able to relax, knowing that there is always a good copy of all of your data (including applications, user settings, mailboxes, etc.) available for you should you need it. This will help whether your data loss is due to system failure, hardware malfunctions, or a simple virus doing its job.
