All bloggers wish to attract readers to their blogs. Getting readers' attention and eliciting sharing is possible if you consider a number of important points. Here are five important tips for writing a great blog post with exceptional content that will get people reading and coming back for more.

1. Content should be clearly and concisely communicated to the readers

There is no need to use 10 words where only one will do. An article should not be too wordy or complex for the readers. Online content should basically be easy to scan and consume. The rule, keep it short and simple, applies here. Content that is difficult to understand can easily distract readers. One of the more important tips to consider includes a reduction in the length of sentence wherever possible. It is also advisable to avoid using jargon and to be as simple as possible so readers enjoy reading the blog.

2. Blog post should be visually attractive

Blogs posts are very versatile and allow users to incorporate all sorts of media. Many readers are easily distracted and get bored with large blocks of text. A fast paced and visually engaging blog such as many readers are used to on social media is definitely something that will catch their attention and keep them engaged. This therefore means it is advisable to make use of content such as videos and images. These should be interesting, colorful and easy to access. Content with multiple media tends to me more compelling and attractive to readers compared to text-only blogs.

3. A convincing initial paragraph

A great initial paragraph is essential to catch the eye of the reader so that he or she proceeds on to the next paragraph. The reader needs to be engaged on the blog for as long as possible or until a call to action. The first paragraph is essential because it sets the scene for the rest of the blog. This paragraph should be a follow up on the title and should carefully and deliberately set out the agenda of the blog. It is important, at this stage, to capture the reader's attention with intrigue and excitement. This will encourage him or her to read further. This first paragraph should be more or less like the trailer of a great movie.

4. Blogs should not be too technical for readers

Blog content usually depends on the writer's niche and those in technical fields may wish to engage their readers with content that is suitable to them, even if it gets technical to a point. However, blogs should in general be simple enough for any web user to read without much difficulty. If necessary, links to more technical details can be posted so that any interested readers may follow should they need to. It is better to avoid industry-specific terms and instead stick to simple language that everyone can understand.

5. Present new and unique information

While there is hardly any new information around, bloggers should endeavor to present their content in a fresh and unique way. Readers love fresh information that looks new and different. Blog content should also be personalized where possible, especially where it relates to personal experienced. Readers love to relate to stories they readBusiness Management Articles, especially when the story is well told. These few tips will enable your blog to stand out and attract a much wider audience.
