These pictures will also help to identify the website instead of utilizing the same graphics that are used on other websites. Black and white photographs can be placed as a background to give the website some interesting features, without being too overwhelming or distracting from the text you want your visitor to read.

You will also want to make sure that you are using high resolution photographs of your products. You want the customer to be able to clearly see what they are considering buying.
