Search engines vary in the way they crawl web pages picking up key terms. If you aren't having much luck finding what you are looking for on your favorite search engine, try another. Ask, Bing, Yahoo, and Google are some of the more well-known search engines but can bring up slightly different links. Also, to weed out some of the unnecessary results, try putting quotations around your search. This eliminates results that have nothing to do with what you are looking for.

Going directly to a retailer's or restaurant website can save you time and money. Sign up for email alerts to exclusive deals and coupons not may not be advertised otherwise.

Bidding Wars

Online auction sites and wholesellers are popping up like dandelions in springtime. Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, and Overstock are just samples of the best places to find what you desire. Within each site, you can do a search that will pull up the items located exclusively there.

Give a Shout Out

Use social media to its fullest extent. Looking for a coupon? A great restaurant? A particular car? Use the status updates of your Twitter or Facebook account to ask your friends their recommendation. If you have a blog, write about it.
