It is every woman’s burden to never have enough clothes to wear. How many times have you found yourself at a loss standing in front of your closet with a heap of disheveled clothes piled up on your bed? Doesn’t it feel like you spend a ton of money every month shopping for new clothes and yet you seem to be wearing the same ones every day? The problem here is not that you do not have enough clothes but that you probably aren’t pairing them right.

In such situations,Not Just a Complementary Clothing Articles your go-to item of clothing should be a shrug. Brightly colored, printed, long-sleeved or metallic, shrugs are a great way to add some style to your outfits. A dress in a single hue can instantly be jazzed up with a shrug in a complementing color. This is the fun part because you can play with contrasting colors or different shades of the same one.

Shrugs are hugely comfortable because they’re loose and sometimes slightly oversized. They make for a great fashion statement and have completely redefined the term ‘casual chic’. The generic jeans and tee combo can instantly be upgraded to trendy status if the right shrug is worn over it. And don’t restrict shrugs only to t-shirts because they go well even with traditional Indian items such as kurtas. A longline shrug draped over a sleeveless kurtas teamed with palazzo pants make for a great outfit that will draw all eyes to you.

Gone are the days when shrugs for women were merely woolen cover ups meant only to be worn in chilly weather or to hide revealing tops. There are many designs and patterns available now so if you feel like dressing up your black crop top with a color pop cardigan style shrug, go for it.

Nowadays many stylish shrugs are available which can be styled in multifarious ways. A really interesting item to style is the overlap cape which can be draped over a halter or a tank top or even by itself.  There are at least twelve different ways in which this kind of shrug can be styled and you can choose to wear a different style each day. It makes dressing up that much more fun. With so much variety in this world of shrugs, you will never find yourself in a ‘what do I wear today’ predicament ever again.
