One of these methods involves creating something unique, like software for example, and registering that software in a software directory with links back to your site. If the directory in question has authority with the search engines (in other words it is highly regarded by the search engines), then the link back to you starts to do some wonderful things. Suddenly, you can get great surges in traffic and hopefully in revenue, if you have monetised your site.
