We are all Network Marketers

This is too funny! It never ceases to amaze me how so many people get super defensive when I tell them my company is an MLM and yet, their whole life revolves around network marketing... Well, unpaid network marketing that is! What are people thinking?

So this afternoon, this friend of mine tells me about this great site a friend of hers told her about where you can shop online for great brand names up to 75% off. "Great stuff!" she says, "They send you an email every day with the new sales". So I told her: "Well, this must be a network marketing company, you must get something when a friend of yours joins thanks to you." "Oh no, no, no", she says, "I don't do MLM" ... Well sure enough. The funniest thing is that she didn't even know she would make some money and yet she was so excited about telling us about it!

It kinda got me thinking! Maybe we should not tell our prospects that there is money to be made and then they would go around telling everybody and be very successful. Then they would find a fat check on their account at the end of the month and they would be even happier!

But seriously though, EVERYBODY does network marketing every day!! Just listen to conversations when you are in a line anywhere. "You have to go to this store! Look at these shoes I have. Guess how much? No kidding, I'm telling you, you have to go!!" And guess what? You can be guaranteed that, within the next 24 hours, the friend will be there with another friend, before even checking it, just based on the trustworthy word of her friend!

So that's what you need to do to recruit your people. You have to project yourself in a waiting line somewhere sharing your excitement! Or on the phone with your best buddy. Just recreate the vibe, the enthusiasm, the joy! Don't think about the outcome! If you tell your friend about this great restaurant and they don't go, it won't change anything for you. If they don't you're your company, what's the worst that can happen? Where you are in the company won't get worse, will it? That's the way to see it!

We all do it and we have been doing it for years! Recruiting is simple! We just didn't know we were doing it and doing it for FREE! All your prospects are the same! So just don't think about it! Tell them and watch them scratch their head thinking that you have a point! You'll see the results!
