However,Affordable Online Colleges and CLEP Credit Articles being able to continue working and leading your current life often isn't enough to make an education truly affordable, and so many would-be students look towards other options such as taking CLEP exams to earn college credit.

CLEP exams have been around for years, and they are available in almost every subject you would take in your first two years of college including English, various math options, economic, government, history, and more. In many cases, they run about half the price of taking a traditional course. So earning credit by CLEP and attending affordable online colleges is a great way to make your higher education experience more affordable. You simply need to order a study guide online or pick one up from most bookstores, and then sign up to take the test when you are ready.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that affordable online colleges as well as their brick-and-mortar equivalents often have a limit on the number of credit hours you can earn through CLEP exams. In many cases, it is a rather high number, such as thirty or even sixty hours. A select few schools, however, don't allow you to transfer that credit in at all. So if you are planning on using these exams as a way to make your college education less costly, be sure to check the school requirements first.
