BCECE exam pattern for 2017 and the subjects with the count of questions section-wise critical for applicants. Stage 1 and Stage 2 exam pattern for applicants with the details of duration, question count and other relevant details.

BCECE exam is always conducted in 2 stages. The stage 1 of the exam would be conducted in the third week of April. The below-mentioned points are critical for any student’s knowledge:

  • Course criteria: It would be conducted for agricultural and engineering courses.
  • Question count: About 150 questions would be asked in Stage 1 of the exam.
  • Type of question paper: Multiple choice questions
  • Syllabus: Physics,BCECE Expected exam pattern in 2017 Articles Chemistry and Mathematics (50 questions each)
  • Language: Both the stages would consist of questions in English translated in Hindi.
  • Mode: Exam is usually conducted in a pen and paper mode.
  • Duration: The total time-limit for the paper is 2 hours 15 minutes.
  • Marking scheme: every response will be carrying +4 marks.
  • Negative marking: every question carries -1 negative mark.

Stage 2 of the BCECE exam is conducted in the third week of May. Candidates who qualify the first stage would be able to qualify the second stage of the examination.  The critical points for stage 2 are summarized below:

  • Course criteria: held for engineering and agricultural courses.
  • Question count: Total of 300 questions would be asked in the exam.
  • Question paper type: Multiple choice questions having 4 options
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (100 each)
  • Language: The questions would be given in both English and Hindi.
  • Mode: Pen and paper based exam
  • Duration: Time allotted to each section is 1.5 hours, totally 4.5 hours.
  • Marking: +4 for every answer
  • Negative marking: -1 for every answer

This exam is conducted to gain admission into undergraduate courses. It is the state level examination conducted in Bihar through which admission can be gained in Engineering, Agriculture and Technology courses. BCECEB has the main authority that has the responsibility to conduct the exam. The candidates can start applying for the exam from the first week of February 2017. The application form would be released online and would be filled through the official website of the Board. An application fee of INR 660 would be charged from candidates in the general category and INR 330 from candidates belonging to SC/ST.
