There are several things that you will need to think about when you are applying to college. One of those things is your major. The major that you choose could have a positive or negative impact on your ability to find a job after you graduate. Below are five of the best majors:
Computer Science
Pros- Computers are everywhere, so there is a great need for computer engineers. That is why computer science is one of the most useful majors. Not only do computer science majors have easier times finding a job, but they also have an easier time finding more lucrative jobs. In fact, computer engineers are among the highest-paid college graduates.
Cons- Computer engineers are required to work long, irregular hours.
Biochemisty
Pro-Biochemistry is the study of the chemical composition of living things. This field is growing rapidly, and people who choose this career have the opportunity to earn a very decent income. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the income for a person with a degree in biochemisty is over $100,000 per year.
Cons- This field is very competitive. In many cases, a PHD is required, so you may have to spend several years in school.
Business
Pro- Business education has always been considered one of the most useful college majors. Business is money, and if you want a career that will help you make a decent income, then you should definitely consider choosing business education as a major. It combines economics and politics. It also teaches you team and analytical skills, which are what employers look for in the business world.

Education
Pros: Teachers are in high demand. It is also a very rewarding profession. Additionally, teachers get summer breaks.

Nursing
Pros- There is an increased need for qualified nurses, and the profession pays very well. Nurses can also specialize, and there is a lot of opportunity for advancement.
