UGC NET Notification | CBSE UGC NET Examination Pattern and Centres

On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of instruction (CBSE) are conducting National Eligibility Test (NET) at numerous examination centres assigned to the applicants. UGC NET Examination Pattern

The examination would be conducted through taking examination in 3 papers from the applicants. 

The Paper I might be of 1 hour fifteen minute length containing sixty questions in total. 

The applicants would got to try a minimum of fifty questions during this paper. 

The total mark of the paper is one hundred. 

The Paper II consists of fifty questions and consequently one hundred marks that the applicants get another one hour and fifteen minutes' time.

The third paper would be of one hundred fifty marks, containing seventy questions in total and giving 2 and a half hours' time to the applicants. 

The questions would be objective and negative marking would be in dire straits each wrong answer.

UGC NET Examination Centre Notification

The official web site of CBSE www.cbsenet.nic.in has uploaded the revised admit cards mentioning the modified addresses of the examination centres within which the applicants got to seem. 

The applicants got to download these recent admit cards by visiting the official web site and clicking the ‘Download Admit Card' link. They have to enter their application no. and password and take output signal of the admit card.

For applicants showing at New Delhi centre (Centre no. 15007) the address of examination centre would be: Mount Abu Public School, Pocket H-3, Sector- 18, Close to Badli Metro Station, Rohini, Delhi- 110085".

The applicants who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) area unit eligible to pursue research within the subject of their post graduation or in an exceedingly connected subject and also are eligible for Assistant Professor. The universities; institutions; IITs and alternative national organizations could choose the JRF awardees for whole time research add accordance with the procedure prescribed by them. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Assistant Professor each OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only can rely on the performance of the applicant all told 3 papers of NET. However, the applicants qualifying only for Assistant Professor won't be thought-about for award of JRF. 

UGC NET Online Application

Applicant seeking admission to the Test (UGC NET) must apply online only on the CBSE website:www.cbsenet.nic.in

Before applying Online, the Applicants should possess the Scanned passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb and less than 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) X 4.5 cm (height).

After filling all the details for applying online for NET the Applicants have to select the option of payment of examination fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form indicating your details therein and follow the process as mentioned.

Applicants belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer) (as per the Central list of OBC available on website: www.ncbc.nic.in )/SC/ST/PWD must enclose the attested copy of certificate for the same.

Applicants seeking age relaxation must enclose the certificate of educational qualification/research experience entitling the Applicants for age relaxation.

The Application (consisting of one copy of printout of online application form and one copy of Attendance Slip) along with Bank Challan (in original/in case fee is paid through e-challan) and other required documents must reach the Registrar/Principal of the Coordinating Institution.

The Applicants should retain the print out of online Admission card with them and will bring it on the day of examination after affixing the identical passport size photograph. The photograph must be signed across by the Applicant after affixing, so that a part of the signature spreads over the Admit Card. Besides, it should be duly attested by the Head of the University Department / Principal of the College / class-I Gazetted officer.

It may be noted that no Admission Card will be issued by the respective NET Coordinating Institutions. Applicants are requested to ascertain their venue of the test/seating arrangement from the website of the respective NET Coordinating Institution and note it in their printout of online Admission Card at least 10 days before the Test.

The Applicants are required to bring a photo identity card also along with their printout of online Admission Card on the day of examination.

It may be pointed out that noting of seating arrangement/venue of test from the website of respective NET Coordinating Institutions will be the sole responsibility of Applicant only. The NET Coordinating Institutions will not inform to the Applicant separately regarding the seating arrangement/Venue of Test.
