UPSEE Exam Pattern

AKTU would inform the candidates about the UPSEE Exam Pattern in the year 2018 by means of an information brochure. The UPSEE Exam Pattern would be detailing the format of the entrance examination, type of questions, the marking scheme, the total number of questions and the paper the candidates would be required to appear in.

According to the UPSEE Exam Pattern, depending on the course that a candidate chooses, the exam pattern might also change. A candidate who opts for the Bachelor of Technology course, the candidate would be required to appear in Paper 1. Biotechnology candidates can appear for either Paper 1 or Paper 2. The UPSEE Examination would have multiple objective type questions with a correct answer. Candidates would be required to enter the response on an OMR sheet with a ballpoint pen. Questions would be set in both English or Hindi for all Engineering papers except for the Bachelor of Architecture courses.

The highlights of UPSEE Exam Pattern are as follows:

1. The duration of the UPSEE Examination would be for a time period of 3 hours. This would be for Papers 1, 2 and 3. The testing time for Paper 4 would be for 2.5 hours.
2. Candidates would be entering their responses on the OMR Sheet for the relevant question paper.
3. Questions would be objective multiple type-based except for the Drawing Aptitude Test.
4. Candidates would have to choose one among the given choices as the right answer. Giving more than one answer would be considered an incorrect attempt.
5. Candidates would not stand penalized for incorrect attempts. A record of the incorrect responses given by the candidate shall be recorded.
6. Candidates would be entering their responses using the ball-point pen.
7. Candidates would be required to use standard numerical alone.

1. The candidates should use the right kind of study material to do well in the UPSEE Examination. The candidates are required to choose the right kind of study material for ensuring a good preparation for the exam.
2. Candidates should have a positive frame of mind while exercising time in preparation. The candidates are required to decide in advance on the syllabus and the exam study material, also the preparation tips that the candidates must exercise to do well in the UPSEE Examination.
3. The candidate should try and analyze the exam pattern which would be considered an important part of a candidate’s preparation.
4. The aspirants are also required to work on UPSEE Fundamentals of all topics that would be asked in the UPSEE Exam. Once he has brushed up the requisite skills, the candidate would be easily able to score well.
5. Management of Time, or giving equal time across to all subjects is an important requirement which the candidate must do in order to ensure optimum performance across all sections of the examination.
