As schools have gone digital- as same way trips can be set up virtually. Virtual field trips give the opportunity to explore the world without moving from home. This virtual trip expands more knowledge of kids and they start knowing more new things, technologies.

Why Plan Virtual Field Trips?

As the number of COVID-19 is increasing day by day, the world has stopped and we have been locked at home. Since all the school's shutters went down, kids are stuck being restless at home. Hence, they are getting online education from home. So, as parents and teachers, we should focus on the other objective activities so that a kid can still emerge her/himself with the world.

A kid may physically be at home but still can be anywhere, at any corner of the planet but, virtually. In the same way, as schools have gone digital - like homeschooling, learning through online meetings, remote learning, online learning apps, where trips also can be done virtually as this is the way to get an education while you’re confined at home.

By setting up virtual field trips for kids, which give them an opportunity to explore new criteria of science, places, acquire more knowledge of physics and outer space. No matter what their interest is they can match it up through virtual trips. As parents and teachers, it's your responsibility to improve the knowledge of your kid by doing different kinds of activities.

You can organize a virtual trip as per which grade a kid is. Of course, these all are virtual experiences, still, they will get familiar with more new things and will try to discover more deeply about that thing. If you’re planning for a virtual trip you can go with an educational trip, natural wonders, museums, a trip to space, national parks, and many more.

You also can set up a live session with the expert in that field for better interactions and solve any doubts. So, that a student will engage her/himself in communication.

Guidelines for Virtual Field Trips

Build communication with kids -

Be interactive with kids so they don’t feel any hesitation about asking anything.

Always ask questions like that -

What do you think about this place?

What might be missing from this thing?

What would you do if you were there?

What have you explored here?

Whenever you set a virtual field tour always use any prompt along with images and videos. Give them a task so that you can know how much they have learned from this trip. For example, imagine kids are learning about animals, birds and you took them to a Zoo. Then together you can discuss the environment, wildlife.

Use applications such as Google Classroom, Schoology in which you can give tasks, share posts related to field knowledge, and also share links. SoBusiness Management Articles, everyone can explore more things from that.
