How Blog Content and Email Are SimilarWhen you stop to consider it blog content and email messages share striking similarities found in their basic objectives! Let's look at how writing content for either a blog or an email must take into consideration 3 important points in order to get the message read! Keep It Brief When writing content for either a blog or to be sent in email you need to be mindful of getting to the point! Your main objective is to deliver a message so deliver it and be done with it. Another thing to consider is that if people open an email or land on a blogging site that contains big blocks of text in most cases they will immediately leave. The only difference here is that a blogging update, if it is interesting to read, can get away with more text since people are visiting the site voluntarily! However an email is essentially 'invading' the in-box of a person so be more considerate of their time! Stay On Point As a rule you only want to focus on one subject when emailing or posting updates being that if you drift around the reader will likely 'drift' away! When trying to deliver a message it is important to capture a persons interest , engage them to read further and then simply make your point! Confusing people by straying from the topic or making them read more then is necessary will only serve to discourage them!Format For Easy Reading Never underestimate the value of 'visual appeal' when writing content for the internet and especially for a blog or email message! Blogging sites base their success on reader loyalty thus a pleasing visual experience will only strengthen that for many visitors. On the other hand when emailing people keep in mind they likely have several messages in their in-box therefore they require little incentive to just simply skip over yours! Don't give them one by mailing them something that is challenging to read. Keep your margins narrow and both your sentences and paragraphs short! Remember it is an email and not a book! When writing blog content it is quite similar to composing an email since if they are not interesting to read people will not bother viewing them! However when writing content for either of these reasons there are other objectives the writer needs to consider to successfully deliver a message to their readers! These objectives are discussed above and in all cases focus on not only the quality of the content but the viewing experience of the reader as well! Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
