  6. In the server settings, enter pop3.live.com for incoming server and smtp.live.com for outgoing server.
  7. Provide the login information of hotmail account. 
  8. Checks the check box for remember the password. 
  9. On the same window, click on More Settings...
  10. Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check the check box for SSL authentication and also check the radio button for "Use same settings for incoming server.. ".
  11. Now click on the advanced tab.
  12. Enter port number for pop3 as 995 with SSL required.
  13. Enter port number for SMTP as 587 with TLS required.
  14. Back to the main menu and click on Test Settings.
  15. If all the things are well then user can get a confirmation message otherwise it will give an error message.
  16. Save the settings to finish off.
