Often,The secret of Effective Email Marketing: Articles it so happens that in spite of all the efforts, the desired results are not derived. There is a wide range of factors that could be responsible for this, and that’s why it’s best to rethink the strategy from the starting point to analyze the overall approach. The first step towards this analysis is to also think of effective email marketing from the consumer’s point of view. For instance, there is probably nothing that can be at par with the irritation one experiences when he/she wants to opt out of an email subscribers’ list, and has to undergo a plethora of steps to do the same.

Email attrition is a completely normal phenomenon even when one talks about effective email marketing, and it’s best not to fight it, otherwise it earns the brand bad reputation, which certainly doesn’t help anyone. Also, instead of creating roadblocks when people want to opt out, it’s a lot better to improve the email content to such a level that one gets more opt-in database than the occasional ‘opt-out’ case.

Also, the presence of a physical address and/or phone number in every email message is very important for effective email marketing, particularly in case of ecommerce websites, since it leads to a feeling of trust being established between the prospective consumer and the brand. Another great idea to encourage consumer response is by giving the recipients the power to respond by just hitting the ‘reply’ button. Also, a point of concern that has been plaguing email marketing professionals and companies for very long is the perpetual threat of their mails landing in the spam or junk folder. The ideal way in which this can be countered is to tell people what they need to do, i.e., white list the sender address by adding it to their safe senders list, so that the problem is resolved once and for all.
