During its existence, the hookah Temple 45 acquired an incredible amount of myths and legends. We will summarise all reliable information, available in the public network, add our own knowledge and try to answer the most common questions about Temple 45 and to dispel some misconceptions.
Fact #1. Tepmle 45 is invented in Russia
It is known, that idea of the Temple 45 was born precisely in Russia, to be exact – in Moscow. LitePro Company under the leadership of founder Ivan Petropavlovsky began to produce the first samples in the glass-blowing workshop in 2010. This model has been warmly greeted by the hookah community. Now we can truly say, that this marked the beginning of new fashion for glass hookahs worldwide.
Fact #2. Temple 45 is produced by many independent manufactures
Due to the success of the Temple 45, many companies over the world started to produce and sell it. Most are located in the China of course, and it is a big problem to identify them. Products of different companies have slight differences, such as glass material, its thickness, ports location, stem and base shapes, the presence and shape of the diffuser, base volume, the presence of grindings, etc. According to many reputable masters of hookah art, the most well thought-out and approached to perfection version today is produced by Art Hookah - in the original box with engraving on the shaft. In addition, it is the only firm with the "official" status and, if necessary, easily identifiable. Fact #3. Height
According to Ivan’s idea, the number in the title – 45 – is the height of hookah in centimeters. But there may be some questions, because different manufactures specify different heights. There are 45, 53, 60 and others and most often it is not clear, what height is meant. For a guide you can use accurate data for the fourth version of Temple 45 by Art Hookah (see arthookah’s site below): it 45 cm - is the height of the bulb and the stem as an assembly without saucer. This means that hookah’s height will be about 60 cm with a saucer and a bowl so it is high enough.
Fact #4. Fabula
Don’t be afraid of this word when it is used with Temple 45 hookah. This “nickname” Temple 45 got when a lot of temples came to Russian market. “Fabula” on Latin means story, narrative. No one knows, who created this nickname, but it sounds good and now many people often use it, not only in Russia, but worldwide.
Fact #5. Temple 45 does not have the “original” yet
When we say "original", we mean that the company, producing this product, has a legally protected rights to the brand, or in other words: the trademark is registered. In this case any similar product of another company will be fake. As for temple hookah, there no company, registered “Temple 45” as a trademark. So separation to “originals” and “fakes” is tentatively. Despite this, LitePro’s and Art Hookah’s Temples are more often called “originals”, because LitePro is inventor of Temple 45, and Art Hookah has hookah with highest quality.
Fact #6. LitePro not left the glass hookahs market
LitePro is the inventor of Temple 45 hookah, so why they don’t produce Temples now? Why they passed their positions to other manufactures? The answer is easy. LitePro’s Temple 45 production technology not allow mass hookah production. The company aims (and always been) to produce unique products, with unique shapes and properties, including individual orders for lounges. So it is truly logically, that Art Hookah takes first place in Temple 45 production.
Fact #7. Art Hookah company is formed in Russia
Many believe that Art Hookah - an American company, but the US office opened in the second half of 2013, while the company's first office was established in St. Petersburg in 2011.
Fact #8. Art Hookah production is concentrated in China
Art Hookah’s factory is placed in China. This policy made possible to bring Temple 45 quality to really high level (we mean glass quality, wall thickness, strength, accuracy of execution of every component, aluminum air purges and mouthtip, full equipment and beautiful box) and save good price.
Fact #9. Borosilicate glass
Yes, borosilicate glass - it's a really existing type of glass, not a good publicity stunt. It has a conventional structure, but boron oxide is used during production instead of the alkali. This glass gets a high chemical resistance, low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, and changed refractive indices. In simply terms - this glass does not rust, will not crack under sudden temperature changes and has not a greenish tint. Art Hookah hookahs are made with such a glass. We really don’t know, what glass is used by other manufacturers. To differ borosilicate and normal glasses, look at it on the light: borosilicate glass is more clean and has not greenish tint.
