Do Dooni Chaar is the story of a middle-class man tireless tussle to cope with the fast, new, expensive India. Its an amusing, genuine and heart-warmingly narrative. The movie will be an invigorating family comedy parading the return of one of the most loved couples of 1970s – Rishi and Neetu. The proud parents of the Anjaana Anjaani star Ranbir Kapoor are back together on the silver screen after 30 long years. This movie is the directorial debut for Habib Faisal, who was the screenwriter of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Ta Ra Rum Pum. This is Disney’s first venture into a non-animated Hindi movie.
The Duggal family-head Mr. Duggal played by Rishi Kapoor wants to buy a car for his family, but the rising inflation and fast-paced life forces him to curtail his desires. The family expects a lot from Mr. Duggal, and Mrs. Duggal played by Neetu Singh tries to maintain harmony between her husband and her children in a fun tussle. The movie is extremelyhumorous and realistic.
Do Dooni Chaar will be released on 8th October. The music has been scored by Meet Brothers and Anjan and Ankit. Talking about the movie, the original Bachna Ae Haseeno star Rishi Kapoor says that he enjoyed working on the movie, especially because of the presence of his wife Neetu Singh on the sets. Neetu Singh, discussing her character in the movie, said, Kusum Duggal is a very middle-class wife who has to manage a lot of things: such as growing children, her husband, his values, and of course the household responsibilities. I have grown up with a middle-class mentality and I connected easily to his character. A middle-class wife is like Mother India because she takescare of everything and lives on a budget. Kusum is kanjoos and saves a lot of money. I would like to think she is great, like Mother India.
