Networking is how you will meet most of the key people in your life, along with, of course, your amazing and powerful intuition, which you will read about shortly. You must network. Producers must network. They have no choice. For producers to be successful in the film and television industry, they must network. As actors, writers or whatever area you are in, you have no choice either. As an actor, you must network.

Let's talk a bit about the power of networking. This,Actors and Networking Articles to me, is one of the most important actions you can take -- NETWORKING! It is vital to success in our industry. I cannot overemphasize the importance of networking. Networking is how you will meet most of the key people in your life, along with, of course, your amazing and powerful intuition, which you will read about shortly. You must network. Producers must network. They have no choice.

For producers to be successful in the film and television industry, they must network. For them to maintain success, they must network. As actors, writers or whatever area you are in, you have no choice either. You must network. For those of you who have not done it, you may find it a little bit challenging at first. That's okay.

We know it's a little tough at the beginning. We are there to introduce you. I can say wonderful things about you that you cannot say about yourself. You can't ever say, "I am wonderful. You should hire me and pay me seven times more than what's in the budget for the role, because I am worth it."

I don't know how you could say that, even if it sounded sincere. It's going to sound like ego. But, if someone else said that about you to a producer friend they know, that producer would be impressed. Then, by the time you are meeting the producer, value has been established.

That is what you want. It does not matter where in the world you are. Right now, we are writing this book from the film capital of the world, Hollywood, California, and here in Hollywood, there are multiple professional networking opportunities going on every single day.

There are many networking events available for you to attend, regardless where you are. I just returned from Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. There are wonderful networking opportunities there, as there are in the vast majority of the major cities throughout the world.

You know which cities we're talking about: the ones where movies and television projects are produced, right? Yes, and hundreds of other cities have film festivals, too. This information really can be used for any area of the entertainment business you are in, but particularly for those people who are a part of, or want to be a part of, the television and motion picture industries.

Again I will repeat: It does not matter where you are in the world. No matter where you are on this great planet, there are multiple networking opportunities for you, where you can meet producers. I don't care if you're in Australia, South Africa, Europe or South America.

It doesn't matter. The film and television business is worldwide. Film festivals go on all over the globe. Get on the Internet; go to a great Website, FilmFestivals.com. Find out what's going on in your area, and show up. Jesus Nebot speaks in details about how he went to all of these film festivals worldwide, and, if he had not done so, his independently and incredible 'labor of love' film No Turning Back would never have won over 21 International film awards. He, too, knew he had to network. Look around.

Producers are wearing name badges. Learn who these people are. Do you want to learn how to know who producers are? Have you got a computer? Don't have a computer, use your friend's computer, go to an Internet Café, but DO go online. Find out who the people are who can hire you.

Look at the pictures of these people. Subscribe to the trade papers, like The Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety. You're not local? Don't want to subscribe? Do it online, www.HollywoodReporter.com and www.DailyVariety.com, do the electronic versions.
