The office Christmas party should be an evening where you, your staff and colleagues all let your hair down and have a meal,An office xmas party with a difference Articles a drink, a dance and a giggle. However all too often the office Christmas party is constricted by the same tiresome format year after year; that being a meal in a semi-posh restaurant followed by drinks in a pub or a club. Much of the entertainment comes from Bob the accountant who's had one too many and is dancing with his tie around his head, chatting up girls half his age. It's an amusing scenario... for about five minutes and if your office Christmas party has followed the same format for several years, some of your staff and colleagues are no doubt already making their excuses not to attend.

But it doesn't have to be this way. With a little imagination and some guts, you can organise an office Christmas party which will certainly give your staff something to talk about and remember. Burlesque has made a big comeback in recent years and many adult clubs in London are hosting burlesque evenings. Before you start thinking 'strip clubs', there is a significant difference between an evening of burlesque and a night in a strip club. Firstly, the beer is cheaper at a burlesque night than in many strip clubs. Secondly, burlesque focuses more of the entertainment and glamour aspect of the act rather than simply removing ones clothing whilst looking sultry or tarty. Thirdly, and probably most importantly; the audience at a burlesque evening will be at least 50% female.

Over the last decade burlesque nights have grown massively in popularity, so much so that many adult clubs in London are putting on their own 'burlesque' evenings in order to cash in on this new fad. Although it must be pointed out that a burlesque night hosted in a strip club is not a 'proper' burlesque night and this is evident by the severe lack of women in the audience. These are still strip clubs and the emphasis is on the strip rather than the entertainment and glamour aspect of a bona fide burlesque evening. For a Christmas party with a difference which will entertain your staff and colleagues of both sexes, try one of the burlesque nights which are hosted in the more mainstream clubs in the UK's capitol rather than one of the many adult clubs in London and you won't be disappointed.
