 Online games are new trendy games which by using Internet technology to support game play. The trend started not long before 1996 by QuakeWorld who contributed a lot to popularize online gaming in, the Internet was clearly being used to play email games and MUDs (Multi User Dungeons) even as the Internet itself was still in it's infancy but with the growing time these game rapidly evolved. As the online gaming expanded it proved the growth of internet. Online games can vary from simple text based games to games comprising complex graphics and virtual worlds played by many players simultaneously. Many online games have connected with online communities, resulted into a social activity .There are   ample variety of online games and like the technology they are based on, these can roughly categorized as following:

Games played by email.
