Dancing with the Stars Fix In High Definition

Before the start of this seasons Dancing with the Stars I have to admit I had grown weary of the b-list celebs and over-the-top judges. The entire time Chloris Leachman was on,
I refused to watch a second of it. Nevertheless then along came Gilles Poet, Lil Kim, Ty Philologue, Melissa Rycroft, The Woz, Julianne's sweetheart, Diet Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and some others that certainly didn't excite me.
Who did I find to be the most interesting? Gilles Marini was the one I couldn't wait to see. I discovered Gilles when I saw Sex and the City where he stood out among a cast of talented actors and actresses. Proving he's no one-act wonder, Gilles shows his other talents on Dancing with the Stars. Most of his dances ramp up the heat in the ballroom. Carrie Ann Inaba explained that Gilles wife is a very lucky girl to have a husband with such great moves.
Denise Richards was a big disappointment, lacking talent as well as personality. Unfortunately The Woz had a great personality but just couldn't find his groove. While Chuck Wicks put in 110% and stayed on the show week after week. Lil' Kim is someone I never imagined liking - but what a dancer! Derek Huff did wonders with his choreography and inspiration. They proved to be a powerful duo when they showed that they had chemistry along with their talent. It was a shock that she was eliminated with four others remaining.
As it stands right now the last couples in competition are Melissa and Tony, Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Shawn and Mark. Melissa came in shortly before the show when Jewel was injured. You could tell right off the bat that she has been trained in ballet dancing so it wasn't too hard for her to get up to speed quickly. Her performances have been close to perfection, earning her perfect scores in the last show. But perfect scores don't always mean you won't be voted off. (Take a look at Sabrina Bryan, she was sent packing with her dancing partner Mark Ballas in the 5th season despite scoring the highest first week score and later getting the first 30 out of 30 score.) Ty Murry is the dancer who has so improved, and is also so love-able. His background as a rodeo star did little to prepare him, but more than likely gives him a wide and different fan base for voters. Shawn Johnson's Olympic performance was so endearing, and her dancing is the same. Finally, Gilles Marini simply couldn't do a routine that didn't blow me away. He is definitely my favorite.
Who will bring home the trophy? Another celebrity contestant and their partner gets sent off on the next show. And on the final episode the three remaining couples will compete in winner take all competition. I can't wait until the final show airs! Luckily I have a DVR for a backup just in case something comes up.
