Before the start of this seasons Dancing with the Stars I have to admit I had grown weary of the b-list celebs and over-the-top judges. Chloris Leachman frustrated me to such a degree I even stopped watching. Melissa Rycroft,Dancing With The Stars - So Much Fun! Articles The Woz, Julianne's boyfriend, Chuck Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and a few others came along too that really didn't interest me either.

But not all was lost - someone did hold my attention. I couldn't wait to see the outstanding dancing of Frenchman Gilles Marini. I really got interested in him after I saw the Sex and the City movie we he portrayed the character Dante. And as a celebrity dancer on Dancing with the Stars Gilles does not let fans of his screen work down. He turns the heat up in the ballroom when he dances. Carrie Ann Inaba even mentioned how lucky his wife was.

Denise Richards was disa
ppointing. She lacked talent and personality, two very important attributes for anyone appearing on the program. The Woz had the personality, but no talent. While Chuck Wicks put in 110% and stayed on the show week after week. Lil' Kim is someone I never imagined liking - but what a dancer! Derek Huff showed what expert choreography and showmanship can bring to the dance floor with his amazing routines. They were a team that showed talent as well as chemistry. It was a shock that she was eliminated with four others remaining.

So who did make it to the last couple of shows? It looks like it's going to be Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Melissa and Tony, and Shawn and Mark. When Jewel fractured the tibia in both her legs five days before the season premiere, that is when Melissa stepped up and took her place. But it wasn't a huge leap for her - Melissa has a background in ballet. Ballet really paid off for Melissa. Twice she scored thirty out of thirty from the three judges. But getting thirty out of thirty from the judges isn't a guarantee that you'll be around on the next show. (Just ask Sabrina Bryan, who was eliminated early in another season after receiving a perfect score.) Rodeo champion Ty Murry has worked on his dancing the most and it shows. He happens to be very adorable too. Ty's experience riding bulls and guiding horses doesn't translate directly to the dance floor and provided a big cache of voting fans who normally wouldn't watch Dancing with the Stars. Just like in Beijing, Olympic Gold Medal winner Shawn Johnson has showed us some outstanding steps with the precision we would expect from the diminutive gymnast. Finally, Gilles Marini simply couldn't do a routine that didn't blow me away. He is definitely my favorite.

Who will bring home the trophy? An additional couple returns home this week. Then the final three will have a showdown the next. You can guarantee where I'll be that night!

Hopefully you can watch Dancing in HD like I can - it really does make a difference. Recently my son convinced me to ditch my regular TV and make the jump to an HDTV. Talk about night and day! HD really gives you that 'you're really there' feeling. I had no idea how good it was. Plus, Comcast Cable is outstanding! I just got HD cable for my new HDTV and the rate was very low for adding this new service. For a really low price I took advantage of the triple play bundle offered by Comcast and added High Speed Internet and Voice to my HDTV cable order. My download speeds and television picture are by far the fastest and clearest I have ever experienced with my new broadband service and HD Comcast Cable. As a bonus, they offer digital phone service at flat rate pricing. The phone is very clear and I can call friends and family around the US and never have to pay long distance charges. If you are moving to an area that is covered by Comcast, or it is your local cable provider, I recommend calling them sooner rather than later to order their great services.
