It's hard to be a music fan without loving Elton John. The artist has gone through so many changes that even if you don't think you like him, chances are one of your favourite songs is by Elton John. Maybe his more recent music isn't your speed, but you may love the bouncy, upbeat flavour of "Crocodile Rock." Or perhaps you're not a fan of "Candle in the Wind" but you dig "Funeral for a Friend" or the aggressive rumble-rock of "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" and "The Bitch is Back.".

Known for his flamboyant style,Elton John is coming to Australia Articles Elton was one of the first openly gay rock stars. Elton's impact in rock and roll culture has been almost as intense as his impact on the music itself.

John's piano-rocking contribution to the music scene is impossible to deny, and even if you don't know that you're a fan, you probably are, and if not, your favourite artist probably is. Elton John's influence is really that hard to get away from. From the early rockabilly-glam days to his more sentimental recent output, Elton John has played everything from arena rock to soft rock and now he's coming to the Hunter Valley, Australia to bring the house down.

This is Elton's fifteenth visit down under. Previously he produced the legendary live album "Live in Australia with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra," and along with his visit to the Hunter Valley, he's also making a return trip to Melbourne later this year on December 6th. Along the way, he'll be starting in Brisbane on November 30th, stopping by Adelaide on December 9th and finally finishing up the tour in Perth on the 11th. A Sydney stop may be planned, but no date has been set just yet.

The show on December 3rd in the Hunter Valley will be a special winery show, which often proves to be far more intimate than a standard arena rock show. While the set list is open to change and improvisation, it's a safe bet to assume that we can expect to hear many of Elton's classics at the show.

In any event, don't expect to get through an Elton John show without hearing "Love Lies Bleeding," "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" and "Rocketman." Elton John is, first and foremost, a professional, and he knows how to deliver exactly what the audience wants.

If you're thinking of going, you'd better reserve your ticket soon. Elton John is one of the top selling artists in the world, and it's not unrealistic to expect these tickets to sell out fast.
