Healing and tank classes have higher chances of getting into random instance. Instance waiting can sometimes be hard to deal with, so do your quests while you're at it. Don't waste time by killing random mobs - go to instances, as it will result in much higher XP/hr. On the day-to-day basis you should concentrate on random instances, doing quests while you're waiting.
