It must be acknowledge that not only illness and old age,How Colon Health Affects Overall Health Articles but also death are due to the accumulation of waste products of body physiology and to the inability of the body to replenish its cellular structures and organs with fresh, living nutrients.  Therefore, immunity and freedom from disease and pain can be had and a postponing of age and death can be arranged only as long as body wastes are kept at a minimum and fresh, vital raw materials are supplied for growth and cell repair.

Colonic cleanliness is of tremendous importance to overall health because as the colon becomes polluted with stagnating waste and its tissue becomes damaged by infections and abrasions, the end products of poor digestion, lowered metabolism and fermenting waste find their way into the blood, lymph and other body fluids.

Besides these ugly conditions, one can’t deny the prevalence of disease of the colon, sigmoid flexure, rectum and anus, specifically.  Diseases such as diverticulitis, colitis, hemorrhoids, fistulae, fissures, tumors and malignancies.  These diseases are so serious they’ve created an army of rectal surgeons, colon specialists and apparatus for that purpose.

When persons eat certain kinds of foods, they will have a certain kind of bowel movement.  Those who have a more natural, fiber-full diet will have a well-formed stool and will pass it along fairly well.  On the other hand, those on a “civilized” diet, especially those eating a lot of bread will have the poorest colon conditions.  These are ones who, when X-rayed, have the most diverticula.  So, it seems logical that people eating bread or any of the refined floured products must use a fiber as found from vegetables along with it.

There have been so many benefits observed when people just eat these vegetable fillings along with their sandwiches for great changes in the elimination of toxic material.

Normal and healthy tissues cannot exist where diverticula exist.  Breadstuffs made of refined (white) flours should be kept out of the body.  Using grains like millet, rye, yellow cornmeal and rice will help keep the proper amount of fiber in our intestines and keep them in good tone.
