The rc helicopter can be described as a radio controlled type of toy that is designed to be controlled through receiving transmissions and executing then accordingly. They are designed to be powered either through the use of a battery, nitro gas and or electricity. They are available in various sizes and designs but the two broadest common types will be the indoor helicopters and the outdoor helicopters. They have acquired those terms based on where they can be operated from, that is inside the building or outside the building. Let’s take a look at the difference.

The indoor rc helicopter is basically designed to be flown inside an enclosed structure. They are relatively small in size so as not to cause any for of destruction within the building. They weigh much less than the outdoor helicopter because when indoors, there will be no barriers to disrupt it. Factors such as wind normally affect how these kinds of helicopters are flown. In relation to this, the indoor helicopter need not to weigh much because inside a building there will be no wind and besides, when they weigh to much, they will not be able to fly to a certain height. It is important to note that the indoor rc helicopter can only be flown to a certain height within the building and for this you will need to get the battery helicopter.

When it comes to the outdoor rc helicopter, they will be much bigger in size and also in weight so as to be able to withstand the outside atmosphere. They can be flown to a much higher height than the indoor ones thus allowing one to get the nitro one that is much more fun to fly. They tend to go at a much faster speed thus covering a wide area when one is flying them around. Most people will prefer to go for the outside helicopter so as to be able to compete with other people plus it is more fun when you have no restrictions and limitation to where and where not to fly.

One major difference between the two is that the indoor rc helicopter is mostly used by beginners in order for them to learn how to fly while on the other hand the outdoor ones are mostly used by professionals. Both will cost almost the same so the choice on which one to get is entirely up to you
