l        Cannon ZR300

One of the issues with these digital camcorders is the fact that the resolution for the still pictures that it takes is not up to par.  Another problem is that it doesn't perform to expectations when the light is dim.  Two things that are not included with this video camera that would have been useful are a microphone jack and software for the capturing of video.

l        Sony DCR-HC21

There are a couple of things that can cause issues for some people though.  One of these is the lack of a built in light.  Another is the lack of a microphone jack on this model, and there is also an issue with how long the batter will last.

l        Panasonic PV-GS150

The problem here is that it does so much that it takes a long time to learn how to do different things with it.  Another slight issue is that it will record when the lens is closed which is a problem for many who tend to carry their cameras with them.

l        Sony DCR-HC42

One of the issues is the fact that the USB port is on the docking station rather than the camera itself, and another is the lack of quality in the still pictures that it takes.

l        JVC GR-D250

The lack of quality in the video is one of the problems, as is the fact that it doesn't seem to perform well in low lighting conditions.  Some other issues were with the lack of a light on it, the fact that there are no USB ports on the device, and no software included with it.

l        Panasonic PV-GS31

A couple of the problems reported for these digital camcorders are that the quality of video in low light conditions is not that good, and that you must download the drivers for the product.  One other was poor battery life.

l        JVC GR-D93

There is a website that is currently seeking a class action law suit against JVC due to the fact that there is an ongoing issue with a particular type of breakage that all of their cameras seem to experience.  This then triggers a safeguard mode and is rather expensive to fix.

l        Canon Elura 70

This model seems to have some issues of its own.  The light that is built in is not adequate and the quality of photos and video suffers in low light because of this.  There also seems to be a problem with the eject mechanics after just a little bit of use.

l        Hitatchi DZMV730A

The only problems reported by the users of this product were the limited types of disks that can be used to record on and an issue with the quality of the video resolution.

l        Panasonic VDR-M50
