The Japanese giant has great success with its Dash 7 Excavators. They are regarded as more powerful,Komatsu Excavators are Legends in Their Own Time Articles economical, long lasting and comfortable. Those Komatsu excavators come with a guiding system called HydrauMindMM, which combined with the Power Max tension function provides 18% extra power.

The Komatsu legend is about to go on with the new Dash 8 Excavators. This is a new generation machines characterized by its efficiency, information technology, upgrades and improvements in operator comfort. To make things even better, those models are equipped with new low emission Tier 3 engines for increased fuel economy. This is combined with the latest Komtrax™ technology allowing the machine to send operating information to a secure web site utilizing wireless technology. That type of monitoring system increases machine availability, allows remote diagnosis by the distributor and provides a bunch of other information, all of which designed to improve the overall productivity of each machine and the profitability of every job.

The new Dash 8 Excavators feature newly developed, high-power Komatsu engines that reduce NOx emissions with an accurate multi-staged fuel injection system that meets EPA Tier 3 regulations for Canada and the United States and meets EU Stage III A emission standards. But this doesn’t necessarily mean decreased engine power or machine productivity, quite the opposite. The fuel consumption is reduced even further thanks to an eco-gauge for energy saving operations and an operator caution for extending idling.

The PC600 is one of the most powerful Komatsu excavators. It’s powered by a Komatsu diesel engine, which produces 287 kW (385 hp) at 1800 rpm. This is a non-standard machine created by Komatsu UK's Working Gear division at its Birtley factory. It’s equipped with a heavy lift straight boom, currently fitted with a massive 6 tonne shear, which provides a maximum reach of over 15m. As a shield that has to protect the machine from possible damage, it is equipped with heavy-duty sideskirts and belly guards. Safety comes first and the operator benefits from a level 2 Operator Protection Guard (OPG) cab incorporating a high visibility roof window with wash/wipe facility.

Komatsu PW130ES is a wheeled excavator model. It’s a 14 tonne machine, yet compact and hence ideal for rail use. It can undergo a heavy duty conversion allowing it to reach the lifting capability of a standard 18 or 19 tonne machine. It has outstanding performance and high overall controllability, making it perfect for converting to road/rail specification, because of its large and robust underframe and two-piece boom.
