Laura Marling
She became quite prominent with the London folk scene; in UK she has also toured with many indie folk musicians. Both of her albums “Alas,Laura’s newly released album “Once I Was an Eagle” is the best till date Articles I Cannot Swim” and “I Speak Because I Can” were nominated for Mercury music Prize consecutively in the year 2008 and 2010. In the year 2011 she won Brit Awards in the category of best female solo artist and was again nominated for the same category at 2012 Brit Awards.

A review on “Once I was an Eagle”
This album showed that the young girl who sang “Alas, I Cannot Swim” is now a matured woman who is very good in conducting herself in public and relating to her audience. This album has reflected the most confident job of the artist. This recent music release was quite alike with those of her previous albums the only thing in this one is that she was very determines to take it further. Music review sites have declared this album of her as the best of the lot.

According to new music reviews the first four tracks of the album runs into one another and the covers has the same temper and subject. In the title track of the album Laura projected herself as an Eagle and her pathetic lover as a dove it shows her theories of Ovidian transformation. This album can be called a concept album or a breakup record though none of the terms is appropriate for it rather “emotional bildungsroman” is quite a closer term. The album released on 26th of May this year.

Conclusion
Nobody has made an album like “Once I Was an Eagle” at such a younger age like the way Laura did at the age of 23. And no doubt this album is huge success unlike any of her other albums
