NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Olga Loschinina in the Illumination: An Exhibition of Fine Art Photography. The exhibition opens May 19, 2017 and runs through June 8, 2017 with an opening reception on Thursday, May 25 from 6-8 pm.
The photographs of Olga Loschinina depict stunning scenery from around the globe. From the extreme climates of the Antarctic ice fields to the deserts of Africa, from oceans and mountains and everywhere in between, Olga is able to combine her love of travel with a passion for photography, creating breathtaking images that appear almost fantastical in their natural splendor. Whether shrouded in mist or bathed in the pigmented rays of a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise, Olga is adept at capturing the delicate color and elusive atmosphere of these locations with her lens. She says her goal in her work is to witness different aspects of life, from bustling metropolises to far flung environs, encapsulating and reviving them so that she can prolong the experience for herself and her viewers. She also utilizes her images to underscore the connection between humans and the natural world.
Born in Moscow, Olga used to work in finance but also studied photography in photography schools. She has been a practicing photographer for four years, and one can find her work displayed in New York, Switzerland, and Russia.

About the Exhibition
Illumination: An Exhibition of Fine Art Photography
Agora Gallery brings digital photography to the forefront with Illumination: An Exhibition of Fine Art Photography. This group exhibition collects six artists with wildly different storytelling goals. There are two landscape photographers, one of whom transforms the landscape with fantastical perspectives and one who captures the land in harmony with its human inhabitants. There is the photographer working with modern symbolic imagery revolving around consumerism and health issues. There are two abstract photographers who work with exposure and saturation to create textures. There are also two artists who portray cars and buildings as living, breathing things. Illumination is an exercise in unusual points of view.
