One of the more unique specialty acts that audiences get to experience is the rhythmic gymnastics of Tamara Yeroffyeva. A stunning combination of beauty and skill makes Tamara one of the most captivating gymnasts inLas Vegas.
Tamara was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and wasted no time exploring her interest in being a gymnast. Practicing every chance she got it was clear that this is what she wanted to do. She trained hard as a child and as she got older began to add more and more things to her routines. At age 19 she became the leader of the Ukrainian National Team and went on to win multiple world championships. For a while, she focused on rhythmic gymnastics as opposed to traditional because she believed it to be a more graceful form of the sport. Many of her routines included objects such as scarves, balls, ropes and clubs. These elements added an extra level of impressiveness to her routines. She was able to control not only herself but the objects with such accuracy that it almost looked like something out of a dream. After many years of competing in numerous World and European Championships she found herself at the 2000 Olympic Games, where she would place 6th. After her appearance in the Olympics she held the number one spot as the top gymnast in the Ukraine for the next three years.
Her skills brought her to Las Vegas where she performed regularly with Cirque du Soleil from 2004 until 2006. It was then that she joined the cast of V - The Ultimate Variety Show. In the show she not only showcases her flexibility, but her incredible control over dozens of hoops as she dances around the stage with grace and skill. Tamara brings a calming feeling to the show midst all of the other high energy, fast paced performers. She has such control of her body and the hoops that it almost becomes hypnotic. There is no denying that her abilities are one of a kind.
