You’ve probably heard of them – and if you don’t,Philippine Allstars: Four Steps To Becoming Fitter Like Them Articles then where have you been all this time? In case you didn’t know, the Philippine Allstars is the “it” group of Hip Hop dancers right now. Not only are they extremely talented, but their talents have a reaped a lot of awards from around the world. Case in point? Check out the Maximum Groovity II Hip Hop Open, where they placed 6th in the World. They also won a back-to-back World Gold title in the International Hip-hop Open d’ Italia in Turin. Add up the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships in California, a Team of the Year award rom V.Ent’s First Annual Dance Awards, and a Gold in the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas. With all these awards, where the heck do they keep them? And more importantly, when watching them perform, what makes them look so good?

The answer is that they are fit. The term fit is relative. For some, it means that you are able to perform a lot of physical activities without getting tired or washed out. For others, it might mean having a sexy body and toned physiques. Either way, if you think you couldn’t stand to walk from one corner of your deli shop to the next couple of blocks to your apartment, then it’s about time you start moving. Here are some ways you can get fit like the Philippine Allstars group.

First, add more physical exercise in your routine. The reason why you are out of shape is that you don’t challenge your body physically. Therefore, the best thing to get rid of the inertia is to just move. Remember: Discipline is the key. No matter how much you paid for that gym membership or that cool-looking treadmill, they won’t do the exercising for you.

Second, do various exercise routines. If you want to maintain that commitment to your body, a little variety and spontaneity will not hurt. If you constantly do the same exercise routine again and again, then chances are, you might get bored with it and give up completely. From time to time, vary what you do. For instance, you can dance on Mondays and Fridays; do some running on Saturdays, and then swim on Sundays.

Third, eat – it’s actually plain common sense. If you don’t eat, then you won’t have enough energy to do any kind of activity. What’s more, you will need more of it when you increase your exercise regimen. But remember that you also need to eat healthy food. Stay away from those that give little energy, such as refined flour, sugar, and other processed foods.

And since we are talking about food, don’t forget to drink water.  Your body will tend to need more of it as you increase your level of activity.

Fourth, take enough rest. There is such a thing as exhaustion, and believe me – it’s not something that your body wants to experience. Get sufficient sleep so your body can restore itself, and try to wake up and sleep at the same time everyday.

There you have it – four simple steps. They are actually plain commonsense for some, but it won’t hurt to remind you of it from time to time. Soon, you will be as fit as the Philippine Allstars team – and you’ll enjoy the rewards of being healthy and attractive at the same time.
