Planning Your Budget Wedding Bridal Shower
When it comes to planning the wedding, the bridal shower is sometimes seen as an afterthought. While it does kickoff the wedding event to a certain degree, it is usually separate and much smaller which may result in issues that are not foreseen.
Proper planning of your bridal shower will result in an event that everyone will enjoy and will properly set-up the wedding as well. The better you plan your shower, the more likely it will go off without a hitch. Here are five tips that will help you in your preparations so that everything will go as expected.
Create a Budget
Whether you choose to spend a lot of money or just a little, your bridal shower needs to have a budget so that you know where to spend the money. Doing things off the top of your head will probably mean overlooking something important, so be sure to sit down for a few moments and do a little research so that everything is covered.
Once you know what is needed, the next step is setting the spending limits so that you can properly manage your money. Even the sky has limits, so be sure to plan appropriately.
How Many to Invite
This is very important as you will want all of your friends and family to get invites. This will means writing everyone’s name down and then checking the list again to ensure that enough invitations are created. It is important to know how many people are invited because that will dictate the size of the venue.
How Large is the Venue
If you are talking about a handful of people, then your own home or residence should do nicely. However, if you are talking larger numbers then you will probably want to rent a venue. Many hotels cater to such events as they have plenty of ballroom space, however you might try some local non-profit organizations for their meeting rooms and halls if you want to save money.
Decorations & Catering
You can hire the best in town, do it all yourself or a little of both depending on your budget. You’ll want to choose an appropriate theme, one that reflects your own wedding if possible and look over the venue to get a good idea of the amount of decorations that are needed.
As far as catering goes, for an event that lasts only a few hours you’ll only need appetizers and beverages. Here, you can go it alone or hire a company that will provide them as they often have packages for such events.
Games & Events
Finally, a bridal shower is going to be a fun time for everyone, so be sure to have a few games lined up so that everyone is entertained. No matter how much you have budgeted, the simplest games are usually the best. Toilet paper wedding dress is a very popular one that only cost a few dollars, even if you get the quilted variety.
