No, it takes more than that. I have always been a fan of Psych. Believe me – it doesn’t end with just looking at Psych pictures on the internet and downloading tons of their wallpaper for my laptop.

I have always been a fan of Psych. Believe me – it doesn’t end with just looking at Psych pictures on the internet and downloading tons of their wallpaper for my laptop. No,Psych Pictures: Perfect Cast of Characters Articles it takes more than that. And it takes more than knowing that the show is about a fake psychic who does detective services for the police department. Believe me, that don’t even cross the border between ho-hum and passive fan obsession. Being a true and genuine fan means knowing the characters by heart, and appreciating their uniqueness and contribution to the show. And believe me; the show really has a lot of quirky people that keeps it entertaining and fun. Here are some characters that make Psych a really good TV series to watch:

Shawn "Shawn" Spencer (played by James Roday). Yes, he's the fake psychic who works with the Santa Barbara Police Department. And yes, those uber policemen who are expected to use their brains actually believe the dude is a true psychic (except for Lassie). However weird and stupid the badge wearers have become, it is still admirable how Roday gives justice to Shawn Spencer's character. Not only does he uses subtle finesse in delivering his comic lines, but his tremendous charm actually makes Shawn Spencer look like he can get away with anything -- and usually, he does.

Burton "Gus" Guster (played by Dule Hill). Yes, he's the lovable sidekick of Shawn. What would the show be without the light-hearted banterings between the best of friends, right?  Dule adds a freshness to his character, and his facial expressions really make the chemistry between Shaw and Guster really shine. Aside from that, I’ve noticed that Dule has tremendously proportionate facial features. So what does it have to do with his character? Nothing -- I just wanted to point out that he really looks good on television.

Henry Spencer (played by Corbin Bernsen). Of course, there should be someone serious to ground Shawn, right?  Well, enter "Daddy" Spencer. The strict, perfectionist, straight-laced father of Shawn is really a pain in the butt, and Corbin really plays his character convincingly well. What’s more, you get to see a lot of Hawaiian-looking shirts that looked like it came from a different planet altogether.

Juliet O' Hara (played by Maggie Lawson). She's the pretty, Barbie doll – like police detective who is also the apple of Shawn's eye. The two have an amazing chemistry on screen, and it shows up all the time. Another thing that Maggie's Juliet does is that it lightens the atmosphere in the police department. In a building where testosterone can reach pivotal levels, Juliet's character makes the show more feminine and light.

Carlton Lassiter (played by Tim Omundson). The proverbial grouch who thinks he is better than everyone else, Tim plays Carlton convincingly well. If his goal is to garner hate mails and profanities from Shawn's fans, then Tim should get an Academy award for outstanding performance…for the rest of his life.

Karen Vick (played by Kirsten Nelson). She is the captain who believes in Shawn. It’s quite strange -- aren’t these kinds supposed to be the smartest of the bunch? Well, anyway, Kirsten plays the “chief” quite well, although sometimes, her character is overpowered by Lassiter’s angst over everyone who looks like they can breathe on their own.

So, what does it take to be a Psych fan again? Aside from what I said earlier, there is one last important thing -- and that is you watch all the shows religiously. Try watching it sometime. You might become a fan and collect Psych pictures and download their wallpaper just as I do. Don’t worry – your secret’s safe with me.
