The world of television is a competitive place. Unless your name is American Idol,Should Grey's Anatomy Move to Monday Nights? Articles you can never feel too safe. Does this mean your favorite show may be coming to an end at any time? Not necessarily. But it does mean you may have to tune in on a different night to watch it next season.

Case in point: Grey's Anatomy. The smash hit from ABC is consistently ranked near the top of the Nielson rating each week. For that very reason, however, there's a decent chance it will be relocating for season three. To a different hospital? No, Meredith, George and McDreamy will still be working in Seattle Grace.

But you'll probably have to find time on your Monday night schedule if you wish to catch the lastest Grey's Anatomy quotes as they're uttered. ABC will likely take advantage of the show's audience by using it to anchor its Monday night programming; this is especially important in the wake of NFL action no longer airing on that network any longer. But is it really a good idea to shift a program at the height of its popularity?

We think it is. While Monday nights at 9 p.m. aren't ideal (Dr. Burke will be taking on Jack Bauer in a match-up of epic proportions), networks can't stand pat. They need to be aggressive. Loyal viewers will gladly follow their beloved characters to the ends of the earth, let alone one extra day. Without needing to stay up so late on Sundays, moreover, individuals will be able to get their week off to a better start. Everyone wins!

Except Dr. Burke. Jack Bauer will eat the surgeon alive.
