Stargate Atlantis Series 5 DVD: With Extras!

Oh Stargate Atlantis, how I used to enjoy those very late night showings. I didn't discover it until is was long past being on prime time. I was surprised to learn that other people enjoyed the quirky fun. For fans like me, we will all be able to sit back and have some Stargate marathons with the release Of The Series 5 DVD.

It is this their fifth and final season Stargate Atlantis Season 5 has by far been the best season just ask any avid sci-fi fan.  When Richard Woolsey takes over as head of the Atlantis team taking the place of Samantha Carter, the kid gloves come off and his power is tested.  Combine this with the personal challenges that arise for McKay, Teyla and Ronan to get episode upon episode of action packed, sci-fi and drama all rolled into one.

This series although listed under the genre of sci-fi, truly offers something for viewers who are sci-fi buffs and for those who are not.  A perfect combination that allows for the interpersonal drama of characters to be intertwined, this has truly been an incredible series to follow beginning to end.

This 5 disc boxed set offers 20 incredible episodes that aired from 2008-2009.  It also includes tons of extras including extended episodes of Vegas and Enemy at the Gate, a ton of featurettes and behind the scenes with cast and crew.  There are even some audio commentaries thrown in.  So for those who have enjoyed the series and are sorry to see it go, there is a lot that this last group of episodes on DVD has to offer.

Don't be the only kid on the block that missed this juicy sci-fi fix. Seriously if you weren't die hard enough to pre-order, you can get it very easily online. The episodes that you missed are all here plus all those fun goodies that we all love in the extras. There were actually some decent reviews on this so it isn't only us sci-fi nerds that find it impressive.
