Strip clubs are an adult entertainment venue that primarily targets male audiences. Performers usually stay on stage and dance,Strip Clubs: Types of Entertainment Formats Articles gyrate or perform according to the routine or format that they are allowed to do. Despite being a generalized description that can go any which way, there are definite limitations to these kinds of establishments when it comes to exposure. The local agencies that govern the area have a lot of say regarding the exposure that they can do. Some businesses have illicit routines and formats that they do not advertise or register with the local agencies.

Exposure

There are three basic kinds of exposure that performers can do. Full nudity, topless and bikini exposures are the usual formats that are followed by most strip clubs in the United States of America. Full nudity is self-explanatory and may also include the use of pasties or other clothes and accessories that give an impression of it. Topless means only the top is taken off during the performance and anywhere else in the establishment. Bikini exposure entails the performer wearing something else and stripping down to a revealing bikini. There are special licenses that need to be secured in order for an establishment of this capacity to operate. Services that are allowed within the venue are limited to public entertainment and there are very strict rules regarding the association between the customer and the performer. Many of these laws prohibit services that end up to sex or result to it between the performer and the customer, especially within the premises of the business establishment. In some cases, arrangements can be made outside of the knowledge of the business manager or owner.

Full nudity, topless and bikini exposure are also limited to stage performances that are overseen by the managers of the venue and strictly monitored by the local govern agencies. Strip clubs that do not comply with the local agencies may be closed or placed on probation for several weeks. Undercover monitoring agents might be present in some establishments that may be rumored to violate governing laws.
These three formats can be combined with any other routines that the establishment may declare to have. A theme might be running for some strip clubs while others may change themes regularly. Themes may include anything from the Wild West, outer space and aliens, girly stuff and many others that the managers or owners think may appeal to their audiences. Themes can change per season or at any given time depending on the whims of the owner or managers.

Strip clubs tread a fine line between legality and illicit affairs. There are times when they try to please their customers and clients too much and may come under fire from the government agencies that govern them. On the other hand, if they do not have gimmicks, their customers and clients will head to other venues that have something new every now and then. It is important that their permits and licenses are up to date, likewise with their performers, in order to operate.
