Usher: Hopeful in the Face of Despair

A passing jet skier collided with the young boy and in doing so, struck Kyle in the head, causing a potentially fatal injury.Doctors have declared since then that the eleven-year-old Glover is officially brain dead.With the fate of their young child hanging by a thread, Tameka Foster, Glovers mother, and Usher hard decisions to make.One of their decisions includes the settlement of a long-disputed child support battle between he and Tameka.At first, Usher seemed hesitant to supply more monetary support to Tameka and Kyle.Now, however, it seems that he has become more open to the idea of increasing his contributions to his former wife and stepson.Things appear rather dismal for the eleven year old who was carefree and before the accident spending time with his mother in the greater Atlanta area.Insurance has been clear that they are only willing to continue payment on Kyles life support for a maximum of two months.Tameka Foster, beside herself with grief and running out of funds, is still not willing to relinquish hope.She has said that she continues to hold onto the chance that Kyle will return to her.Tameka is hopeful that her son will live, despite any discouragement from the doctors and insurance company, as any good mother would be.Usher, who has been very involved with this disaster, rushed to Kyles bedside the very same night that the horrifying event took place.Despite the ongoing animosity over child support, it seems that nothing could keep him away.Although Kyle is not Ushers biological son, it does not change the fact that Usher helped to raise Glover for a number of his formative.The boy holds a special place in Ushers heart.Looking back over the years that Usher has spent in the spotlight, there has been no heartbreak quite like this one.
