Learning game consoles make a great gift for a child. V-Smile is a popular system that has many pros and just a few cons to playing it.

Who ever invented electronic learning games has probably done many parents and caregivers a huge favor. Now, there are video games with learning in mind and they are aimed at toddlers and preschoolers! They not only drive to simulate kid`s brains but they also entertain which leaves parents free for other things.

Some parents will buy learning systems just to simply get a break. Most kids love electronic video games and feel like big kids when they too, get to play. Some kids will plunk themselves in front of these games and systems until they are dragged away, while others will just peck at the games for little bit at a time. V-Smile, made by V-tech is a video game system that provides many opportunities for little ones to learn and grow. This system comes in a bright color with a controller and joystick also in bright colors and the whole package is pretty reasonable in price.

The games that come with this system are geared for kids aged 3-7 with many games featuring many loved childhood characters. Many kids will be pointing and begging to buy one of many of the games for sale for this particular system.

For young kids who are buying the toddler games, the game is fairly easy to use. Once kids learn which button is to jump and which one is to go, kids can figure out the rest and what is in-between. In fact parents might be surprised at how smart their little one is for figuring out an electronic device and all its gadgets.

The joystick is ultra comfortable for anyone to use. It can adapt to a left hand or right hander and is large enough to be moved around with ease. This system comes with lots of games so there is no need to worry about running out of gaming ideas. The system easily connects to any TV set.

There are just a few drawbacks to mention. The first one is the short battery life of the console. This system used to be plugged in to the TV and now is battery operated. Many young kids will forget to turn off the system or will turn it on as they are playing, this can drain the life and leave a parent having to continuously buy batteries, and batteries are not cheap!

The games themselves can often be challenging for kids. With some aspects of the game being fairly easy, it can be noted that kids may become frustrated with some areas and not want to play. For example there might be a game that figures that kids know how to add in their 3-5 year games.

While the odd child can add at this age, most can`t develop mentally and there for become frustrated because they cannot advance in the game until they have answered the question of 2 plus 3.

Some kids may find it hard to put the games in and out of the console and may get confused by the power and reset button because they look the same and most kids playing this type of video game system cannot yet read.
