Release date : December 04, 2015 Author Rating : 2.25/5 Director : Satyanarayan Dwarapudi Producer : Bellam Ramakrishna Reddy Music Director : Chakri Starring : Srikanth, Kamna Jethmalani Off late, Srikanth is busy doing supporting roles. His latest film ‘Veediki Dookudekkuva’ has hit the screens today. Let’s watch how the film turns out to be.
Story:
Kranthi (Srikanth) is a powerful police officer can go to any extent to safeguard justice. It destroys any criminal gang he meets in his office. One day he comes across Chamundeswari (Kamna Jethmalani) who also happens to be his childhood friend. Soon, their friendship blossoms into love. Chamundeswari done research on the temples and the same goes to Malaysia. Arriving there, she is kidnapped by a vicious gang. Why not kidnap gang Chamundeswari? Kranthi will go to Malaysia to save her? and will be successful? Which forms the rest of the story.
Plus points:
Srikanth is the main highlight of the film. The comedy scenes featuring Srikanth, Krishna Bhagavan Chandramohan and entertain the audience much time.
Some scenes for the front are very emotional climax. Although the comedy MS Narayana track is unrelated to the story, the audience will enjoy.
Negative points:
Second half is the major drawback of the film. The works take their time to move forward. characterization of Srikanth and his dialogues are quite similar to that of Mahesh Babu in Dookudu. The producers took a huge risk by selecting this age old story. All scenes are presented fairly routine and were treated in many films in the past. Film pace is a little slow.
Technical aspects :
Cinematography of the film is good and the scenes are shot in Malaysia are well captured. The production values are not bad. Coming to the music, songs which are composed by Chakri regretted attract the masses. background score are not effective.Sathyanarayana Dwarapudi, director and writer failed in all legal aspects of choosing the story to the screen presentation. The only place that does a decent job is the culmination before. The assembly is very annoying that many scenes in the second half could have easily cut.
Verdict:
Overall, Veediki Dookudekkuva is a lack luster film because of its story line old weak leadership and age. Except for some rare comedy and pre climax scenes, this film has nothing much to offer. Watch it when it comes to television.
