The Bastakiya area, which is in Bur Dubai nest to Dubai Creek, is one of the important places to visit in Dubai. It is one of the oldest heritage sites in the city and is certainly the most atmospheric area. The area is characterized by traditional wind tower houses, built around courtyards and clustered together along a winding maze of alleyways. The distinctive four-sided wind towers seen on top of the traditional flat-roofed buildings were an early form of air conditioning, capturing the breeze and channeling it down into the houses. Located in Al Fahidi Fort, this museum is interesting for all the family. The fort was originally built in 1787 as the residence of the ruler of Dubai and for sea defense, and then renovated in 1970 to house the museum. All aspects of Dubai’s past are represented in this museum.

This 22 hectare, spacious and leafy park is the perfect out-of-town setting for family outings. There are plenty of grassy spaces for picnics and barbecues. The visitors are welcome to arrive equipped with their own well-stocked picnic baskets that the whole family can enjoy under the shade of a tree while little ones play on the lawns. Essentially, KidZania is a fantasy world where kids can dress up and act out more than 75 real world roles, from policeman to pilot, doctor to designer. The KidZania city even has its own currency, Kidzos, which children can earn by performing certain roles and services, and spend on food or activities. It’s a clever combination of entertainment and local businesses.

Snow parks have lots of exciting activity for children –

It is the biggest indoor snow park anywhere in the world and, for the little ones who don’t want to take to the slopes, or are too young to ski; this is one of the coolest experiences in UAE. There is lots of thrilling activity for children to enjoy. There’s a twin track bobsleigh run, an exciting snow cavern, a tobogan run and the potential to upgrade and experience some extra activities, such as zorbing and so on.

Jumeirah Mosque is one of the beautiful places to visit in Dubai –

This is the most beautiful mosque in the city and perhaps the best known, as its image features on the Dhs.500 banknote. The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding organizes tours for non-Muslims, with visitors being guided around the mosque, before the hosts offer a talk on Islam and explain prayer rituals.
