When you are ready to get married,Weddings - How to Decide What Type of Ceremony You Want Articles you may realize there's a lot to consider when planning your ceremony. On one hand, many brides have been planning weddings in their head ever since they were little and know just what they want. On the other hand, there are some brides that simply don't have a clue as to how they want the ceremony to turn out. If this sounds like you, read a few tips to help make your decision process a little easier.

For some women, the only option is a huge, over-the-top ceremony. This means everything is big, and the more bells and whistles the better. Some nuptials can take a page out of "Gone with the Wind" when women have huge dresses, a horse and carriage, big mansion and more. Also, the guest list - as well as the budget - is usually humungous. Bottom line, if you decide to go big, you really go big.

On the other hand, some people prefer destination weddings, where you can enjoy your close friends and family at your ceremony as well as throughout your honeymoon. Oftentimes, couples go somewhere warm where they can get married on the beach. This way, they skip the stifling confines of a church and instead enjoy all the natural beauty surrounding them.

In fact, you may want a simple ceremony that involves having some relatives and a few close friends over to your home. You can get married in your backyard or even the living room. Then, after the ceremony is complete, you simply eat light finger foods, play some music from you CD player or iPod and basically enjoy your new spouse without all the pomp and circumstance.

You can't mention weddings without mentioning Vegas. So many couples, whether it's someone you just met or have been dating for years, decide to pull the trigger and get hitched in Vegas. There's just something about being married by Elvis that people enjoy. And if this sounds like you and your spouse, then the only option is to go for it.

Yet, at the end of the day, you may want it simply to be about you and your spouse and a couple of witnesses. If this sounds like the type of wedding you tend to be drawn to the most, then a quick visit to the justice of the peace should do it. This is what people who have been living together for many years often do. In addition, instead of spending a ton of money and going into debt, couples opt to spend their money on a longer lasting purchase, such as a house.
