7 millions is a large number. 7 billion. A number so large it is difficult to understand. If presented with this number in for example USD, it would be difficult to grasp. 7 billion human beings. 7 billion individual persons, young and old. Every single one needs to be fed.

It is not the fault of the poor starving children that are dying in masses. Watching a child starve and eventually succumb on a daily basis must be unspeakably horrendous. What do you say to a hungry child who reaches out a hand for food when there is none? How do you explain? Can you even imagine the horror if this was your child? Imagine having to tell your child that there is no food available. Just like last night,7 Billion Human Beings On a Planet Called Earth Articles there will be no dinner tonight neither. Listening to your child cry in hunger pains. Day after day.
On the other side stands Mother Nature. She is weeping over the fact that she can no longer produce enough to keep up with the exponential population increase. Though she does get help from genetic engineering, but for how long?
Meanwhile, in the Western countries most people are trying to do their share by being environmental friendly and aware. Reducing the ongoing destruction of nature. However, the environmental problems become even more difficult to subdue as the population is growing out of hand.
I do realize that with this statement I am contradicting everything I ever wrote previous to this article. Being aware does make a different, but only if some form of solution is simultanteously getting worked on. Reduce, reuse, and recycle is great, but can only be done for a limited time. It is to slow the process down. A process that badly needs to be reversed. That has to be the long term plan. To find a way to recycle it all and to replant and regrow. To be able to sustain the world population.
7 billion persons. Reduce seems to be the righter idea for with this issue. I have no solutions on how this should or could be worked on, but I do know it has to be done. It can be done with techniques that does not include disasters or pure executions. Though if nothing is being done now to reverse overpopulation, it will end up a horrendous and inhuman disaster.
I am aware that this sounds like a scary outcome. It is, and should be, an alarming thought. I am not going to tell you that there is a push button solution that will make it go away, because that would be an utter lie. In spite of all the current global havoc (economical, environmental, overpopulation, etc), this issue can be and needs to be sorted out. Important to know and understand is that the overpopulation problem needs a long-term planning that has to be implemented now. Understand also that overpopulation is a large contributing factor to the current economical, as well as the environmental, situation. It is up to people with the knowledge and resources (i e us in developed countries) to find and implement a powerful plan that will effectively deal with overpopulation.
